“High Mass”
Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste
September 1, 2 and 3, 2022, at 7:30 p.m.
In a setting conducive to meditation, the “high mass” version of Histoires sans paroles – Harmonium symphonique invites viewers to dive deep into the group’s music. Tableaux choreographed by Édith Collin-Marcoux (Charlotte Cardin, Marie-Mai) and lighting adapted to the venue’s atmosphere will punctuate the show in a mounting crescendo of colour and emotion. Visual concept, set design and staging are by Marcella Grimaux (Noisy Head Studio). The project was produced by Nicolas Lemieux (GSI Musique), who is also its artistic director.
Inspired by the album Histoires sans paroles – Harmonium symphonique arranged by Simon Leclerc, all the concerts in the Montréal trilogy will feature the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM), guitarist Sylvain Quesnel and the Chœur des jeunes de Laval under conductor Dina Gilbert. Singers Kim Richardson and Luce Dufault will each appear onstage for one song.
